Mysore(6:00~10:00, Monday to Friday)
Mysore, a personal and intimate path to cultivating yoga within.
All levels welcome. This class is for the beginner and advanced practitioner alike. Named after the city in South India where Krishnamacharya, Pattabhi Jois, and Sharath Jois lived, this is the original way of learning yoga asana.
Students learn the yoga postures in their own pace, cultivating individual responsibility for their own practice with individual attention, support and help by the teachers. It is perhaps the only way that the more advanced asanas or postures can be learned safely, with proper skill and dedication. By committing oneself fully to one yoga system and a regular practice, practitioners open the door to deeper levels of body and mind.
From Monday to Friday, we have Mysore practice following the tradition. If that is still too much, we request that new students commit to at least three times per week to slowing build up the strength. In the space between the teacher and the student, learning happens. In the mysore style method of practice, we have the unique opportunity to experience this level.
Please enter the classroom before 9:00 a.m. and finish the practice by 10:00. No Mysore classes on New and Full moon. For a complete list of moon days, please see here.

ASHTANGA FULL PRIMARY, Talk, and Q&A (8:30~11:00, Saturday)
This class is the full Ashtanga experience. In a steady and dynamic pace postures are linked into a choreographed sequence that opens deeper dimensions in your mind-body-breath connection.
ASHTANGA FULL PRIMARY is for more seasoned Ashtanga yoga practitioners who have been coming to Mysore classes regularly. Led classes are counted in traditional Sanskrit for a synchronised group practice of the sequence. We encourage new students to only practice up to the postures they have learned in Mysore. The class includes some advanced asanas, which students who have not yet been introduced to can observe and join in later.
After led class, the teachers will share practice experiences and yoga knowledge, guiding students through discussions on the textbook AṢṬĀṄGA YOGA ANUṢṬHĀNA. This is a valuable opportunity for student-teacher communication and deeper learning.

Mysore for Beginners (19:00~20:15, Wednesday)
Waking up early for daily practice can be a big challenge for many, so Mysore Taipei offers a beginner’s class once a week, with a small group size of 5 to 10 students per class, providing more opportunities for students to experience traditional yoga practice.
Our teacher will start from the basics, introducing foundational knowledge of Ashtanga Yoga and offering one-on-one guidance on basic postures and proper yogic breathing. This allows students to gradually become familiar with yoga and Mysore self-practice. The teaching content and pace will be adjusted according to each student’s progress.
